Cassie McKinley
Pastry Chef
Meet Cassie
Every day I produce sweet treats for our staff lunches and events. Being a baker means the world to me—I have wanted to be a chef for as long as I could remember. I enjoy baking for work and at home for friends and family. I thrive to put 110% into everything I make and enjoy practicing and researching new ideas.
I attended the Culinary Institute of Michigan where I earned an associate degree in both Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry. After school I landed my first job as a pastry chef at a restaurant called the Lake House where I gained most of my baking experience. In 2019 I started at Food Dance as a baker and learned more about pastry work and breads. Food Dance closed its doors and that was a heartbreak, but also a blessing because I became a part of Fetzer.
Baking is forever my passion, but I have so many more interests! I love hula hooping, camping, and pretty much anything outdoors.
Every day is a new day and every day I thrive to become a better version of myself.
