Director of Finance
In my role, I have oversight of all financial operations of the Institute, including our audit, tax return, budgeting, investments, legal, and other daily activities. With the help of a dedicated team, we provide financial information to our colleagues to make their jobs easier.
Prior to joining the Institute, I spent the majority of my professional career working with for-profit manufacturing companies and in public accounting. My formal education includes an accounting degree from the University of Indianapolis and an MBA from Michigan State University. I remain a licensed CPA in Michigan.
Working at the Institute has provided me with a different perspective on life. It’s changed the way I view and understand others—for the better. As much as I enjoy my time at work, there’s no greater pleasure in life than being with my wife, Misty; daughter, Rylee; and son, Parker. Whether we’re together on the water, at a sporting event, or wherever our days take us, life is good.
The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly.
