Meet Jessica

I have always wanted to use my accounting skills for missions that I care about, so I am happy to have joined the Fetzer Institute to assist with reporting, audits, tax returns, and other financial operations that contribute to our daily work.

I am a certified public accountant with an accounting degree from Western Michigan University and a master’s of science degree in health communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have worked in public accounting for more than a decade, with a focus on nonprofit accounting. I am involved in the Kalamazoo community and volunteer on several boards.

I enjoy comedy podcasts, film, television, theater, music, and learning how media and art influence our behaviors and beliefs. Learning and laughter are important aspects of life and my son is my greatest source of both.
