Discernment at Crossroads and Life Transitions
GilChrist Retreat Center

- Spiritual Formation
Are you at a crossroads or in the midst of a life transition?
Are you facing the challenge of making decisions that are not clear-cut but nuanced with a variety of factors?
How does being more aware of how God is active, present, and inviting in our daily life help us to make these decisions with increasingly greater faithfulness to God’s desires and our own passions?
In a silent retreat format, we will explore discernment in the context of understanding God’s desire and love for us. We will explore ways that choosing life and engaging our body with intention and attention will help us distinguish and choose more wisely the options before us. This practice of discernment will shape our heart and mold our character. It will grow our faith, increase our intimacy with God, and empower us to become truly human and fully alive.
Sessions on Friday afternoon and evening are more interactive. We enter into silence on Friday evening and break silence on Sunday after our last session that morning. Except during our designated meeting times, participants are asked to maintain silence throughout the retreat. Spiritual direction is also available.
