Sacrality Practice: Bringing SacredLove to What We Do

It’s easy to forget how impactful the daily, ordinary moments of our lives can be. Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison, Zen teacher, psychotherapist, and president of the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care shares what a door person in his building said that moved and reminded him of the impact our most ordinary activities have on others.
For this session of sacrality practice, we encourage you to notice how you move through the world, how and when you “fully participate,” and/or bring love to your daily activities. What do you notice about your feelings? What happens to the quality of your interactions with others when you are fully present, doing things with sacred love? How does that make you feel different? Are there things that you’d like to change as a result of your observations? Share what you notice with others around you. These expressions of genuine desire to be present and authentically loving can form the basis of new friendships just as much as they can fuel or rekindle existing ones. Find out what they see about the impact of their own and others' daily activities.
