We are a community inspired by love, fueled by the power of connection, and dedicated to making our world a better place.
“At Fetzer, I feel free to be my full authentic self.”
Nathan Moore, Organizational Culture
We recognize that contributing to the creation of a more loving world starts with how we treat and care for our staff and workplace. At Fetzer, we practice what we believe. We model the loving world we’re all working to achieve. Our goal is to create an environment that welcomes our employees’ full selves in our work together.
Our founder John Fetzer believed that for the Fetzer Institute to succeed it had to be more than a collection of individuals. Instead, it had to be a cohesive community that was bound together by a larger purpose.
For three hours each week, our full staff stops work and either together or individually cultivates their spiritual path — however they define it. We explore personal spiritual interests, share new ideas and work, build connections with teammates and partners, and learn about topics from emotional intelligence to mindfulness to spiritual parenting. We believe that providing the space to develop such a community will help us become a more effective organization by creating a culture of love and authenticity. Ultimately, we hope that this intentional effort will help us embody the work we aspire to do in the world.
Our core values.
The Fetzer Institute has four organizational values that guide us.

Trust.

Authenticity.

Belonging.

Benefits.
We want to enable employees and their loved ones to lead healthy, spiritual and fulfilling lives. A glimpse of some of our offerings are included here.

“We’re providing resources, tools and the opportunities for people to grow and develop and deepen their own spiritual path. “
Brad Miller, Finance

Weekly community gatherings
We dedicate three hours each week to nurturing personal and professional growth through meaningful spiritual practices and capacity-building activities.
These sessions include exploring values like joy, grief, love, and trust, engaging in somatic practices, diving into world religions, enhancing conversational skills, practicing contemplation, and fostering discussions on diversity, equity, and inclusion. This unique benefit helps build a stronger sense of community, purpose, and connection for our employees.
