TEDx Event Focuses on Power of Love
John E. Fetzer proclaimed love “the one ingredient that holds us all together,” and called for scientists to study its unique energy. In mid-March, internationally acclaimed experts join forces to illuminate the power of love and its implications in the arts, business, and society at large.
“Far from its sentimental or new agey interpretation, love is an archetypical force, recognized and identified in all cultures and societies, throughout time and space,” notes event organizer Ferdinando Buscema, a magic experience designer and advisor to the Fetzer Institute. “Love is making its way into our contemporary culture through a series of labels: emotional intelligence, positive psychology, sustainability, cultural diversity, gender equality, social inclusion, conflict resolution, open source, crowd-sourcing, the grand unified theory.”
The March 20 TEDxNavigli event is in Milan, Italy at Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia, Italy’s largest science and technology museum.
In conjunction, organizers are issuing a call to action to young artists worldwide to find ways to express the power of love in their own creations.
This event was also featured in "All We Need Is Love," an article in the Jan. 10, 2013 issue of L'Espresso magazine.
