Nobel Peace Laureates: Shirin Ebadi on Bad Laws
Nobel Laureate Shirin Ebadi explains her efforts to change the "bad laws" that exist in Iranian culture towards women and children. Ebadi discusses her fight to bring awareness of these laws to the forefront of society and the reasons why she will continue to stand up to these harsh and unjust laws.
The Fetzer Institute spent time with Nobel Laureate Shirin Ebadi in the summer of 2008 at the Peace Jam conference in Los Angeles. Ebadi was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2003 for her efforts toward democracy and human rights.
