Louder Than A Bomb 2013 Highlights
Young Chicago Authors recently celebrated its 13th Annual Chicago Youth Poetry Festival: Louder Than a Bomb. This city wide poetry competition emphasizes self-expression and community via poetry, oral storytelling, and hip-hop spoken word. The festival is a community and a bridge for young people from all neighborhoods, socio economic statuses, race and culture to come together and better understand one another.
The Fetzer Institute is supporting a year-long research project examining how the Young Chicago Author's annual LTAB poetry festival fosters a shift from fear to empathy and demonstrates love and forgiveness.
