Kalamazoo, MI, Sept. 12, 2012—Some of the most celebrated voices in the international art scene will perform at “Love and Forgiveness,” an evening of music Sept. 22, before a public audience and participants of the Fetzer Institute’s Global Gathering.
Participating actors and singers include tenor Andrea Bocelli, pop singers Dionne Warwick, Massimo Ranieri and Nina Zilli, actors Bianca Guaccero and Enzo Decaro, sopranos Patrizia Orciani, Antonella Ruggiero, and Pretty Yende, mezzo-soprano Annalisa Stroppa, and baritone Alberto Gazale. They will be accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of Bologna and the Choir of the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi.
The Fetzer Institute is sponsoring the evening event in collaboration with the Sacred Convent of Assisi. The concert will be the culmination of Fetzer’s Global Gathering: A Pilgrimage of Love and Forgiveness, a convening of more than 600 guests from 43 countries. The event, held in the Lower Square of the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, will air late night on Italy’s RAI 1 Television September 29.
“Love and Forgiveness” is a program produced by Ballandi Entertainment Spa and conducted by Fabrizio Frizzi. Written by Ermanno Labianca and Paul Logli, with sets by Marco Calzavara, and directed by Carlo Tagliabue.
